SAVAOTH, originally formed in 2004, are an extremely promising four piece act based in Athens, Greece.

Their music uniquely blends classical baroque era symphonic elements with cutting edge Scandinavian blackmetal and industrial aesthetics. SAVAOTH are a hazardous experiment: a mixture of industrial distorted beats and noises with majestic orchestrations, always following the black metal traditions of bands like Dimmu Borgir, Emperor, Satyricon, Burzum, Darkthrone, Arcturus and Mayhem. The result is a brilliantly schizoid crossbreed.

Their awaited debut album titled " Whispers Often Bleat " is hitting the stores in May 2009 via I For An I Records & Media.

Reborn in the winter of 2007 from the ashes of NEGATIVE CREEPS - one of the primary acts in the Greek metal scene with two official releases from Black Lotus Records, (Inuterus Rebirth [2002] and Mutual Annihilation [2004]) - THE SOURCE is charging the metal world with modern thrash energy speed and aggression, driven by JB (guitars), Makis (vocals) and Tomek (drums). The line up was recently completed with the addition of two extremely capable young musicians Stamatis (guitar) and Atris (bass).

Their music is a direct reference to their sources and earliest musical influences, that is 80’s thrash and bands such as SLAYER, EXODUS, TESTAMENT & KREATOR whilst at the same time keeping in touch with the contemporary face of the idiom as this is expressed by bands such as the HAUNTED and DEW-SCENTED while incorporating the European melodic sense of CARCASS and AT THE GATES.

Using Speed, melody, heaviness, shredding and a focus on mature songwriting, THE SOURCE are accomplishing an ambitious and extreme sonic combination by means of utilizing their multi-year concert, recording and label experience in Greece and abroad.
